Dr. Geyer's Volunteering
Dr. MaryK M. Geyer earned her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she focused her training on working with underserved populations. Prior to medical school, she graduated with Honors from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a Bachelor of science degree in Organismal/Environmental Biology with concomitant focuses in Chemistry and English.

Dr. Geyer is a board certified Family Practice Physician, along with training in Prenatal Counseling and Natural Pediatrics. She completed a post-graduate preceptorship focused in obstetrics and pediatrics with Dr. Farra Swan, ND before undergoing her family practice residency at Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center.  Dr. Geyer is also adjunct faculty at Cortiva Massage Institute, teaching classes in Pathology, Nutrition, Anatomy, Physiology, Ethics, and Hydrotherapy.

She works with each patient, wholistically (mind/spirit/body), developing treatment recommendations focused on their specific health picture and needs.

"I'm a daughter, wife, mother to an amazing son who has special needs, and doctor (coming from the latin docere, meaning to teach).  To me, these are not separate experiences, they are all a piece of who I am in my practice of medicine.  Therefore my relationship with my patients is a very personal one.  I make a pact with each and every one. We take a journey together on their path towards health. I promise to be there every step of the journey, but the level of commitmant on an individual's part will help determine the progress."
